About me
My name is Mai Sato. I am a photographer based in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Before my professional career in photography, I had worked for Cirque du Soleil for 10 years, performing as an aerial acrobat. Previously, I worked in computer graphic design in Tokyo. This blend of performance and design has given me a unique perspective on my work as a photographer.
More recently, I have been studying mindfulness. It is a part of my lifestyle. I see how energy flows in the body, as well as the way we as human beings connect to nature.
Photography is like a letter for me. I will reach beauty and grace within you and I will express how amazing and beautiful you are.
I also teach movement and posing for the camera.

ロサンゼルス在住の日本人写真家です。
写真家になる前は、10年間、エアリアルアーティストとして、シルクドゥソレイユの舞台に出演していました。また、アメリカに移住する前は、日本で3DCGのグラフィックデザイナーとして働いていました。
その異なる経歴が合わさり、一枚の写真の中に、モデルだけでなく、背景を含めた、全体の色やエネルギーにもフォーカスすることを強く意識しています。
現在は、アーティストやダンサー、俳優など、アーティスティックなポートレイトを中心に撮影させて頂いております。
写真は、私にとって手紙のようなものです。被写体の皆さんの内側から溢れる美しさを感謝の気持ちとともに、写真に表現していきます。
